History

The Story of Lighthouse Community is a reflection of
God’s grace and faithfulness toward those who say YES
to His leadership in their lives.


Lighthouse is a community of believers that seek God in authenticity through the bible &
prayer in relationship with other growing disciples. We were created to depend on God as we seek to know Him in truth. 

It starts when we trust God to lead our lives!

Our Beginnings

In 2016, 35 believers from The Findlay Evangelical Free Church heard the call to join a launch team seeking to discover how God might use each of them to expand the Gospel in our community. Since those early days, we have watched as God has moved in remarkable ways in the hearts and minds of people who have leaned into his leadership of their lives. All of us are called to know God intimately. All of us are blessed when we use our lives to make Him known.

Seasons of Growth


Lighthouse began growing rapidly from the very beginning. We have watched the miracle of new life in Christ over and again as so many people have said:

Yes to Jesus as forgiver and leader!
Yes to believer’s baptism!
Yes to scripture and prayer in community with other growing disciples!

Having outgrown our original rented building, God led us to purchase land and construct our new Ministry Center on CR-99 where there is now room for many more who are seeking hope. Beyond our own walls, God used Lighthouse people to help plant Bluffton Community in 2020.

Looking Ahead


Our family of churches is compelled by the gospel to continue reaching the 50,000 in our county who are far from God. Our world is in desperate need of Jesus, and we know that God uses ordinary believers who have been transformed by the Gospel in His mission. Living Hope Church, Lighthouse Community, and Bluffton Community are praying for God’s
leading as we seek to plant new churches.
