Communion Guide for Online Campus

You can participate in communion with us online. Communion (the Lord’s Supper) is an ordinance given to all believers by Jesus to remember his sacrifice for us and to symbolize the new covenant. Communion is a part of our worship services on the first Sunday of every month.

The elements of bread and wine/juice are symbols of Christ’s broken body and shed blood. Communion is not a means of salvation, rather it is a testament of a believer’s faith in the atoning work of the cross. If you have put your faith in Jesus, you can join us online to remember his GREAT sacrifice. If you have not said YES to Jesus as your forgiver and leader then we would encourage you to not participate. Just sit back and enjoy the service like normal.

HOW TO TAKE COMMUNION ONLINE
1. Purchase Grape Juice (quantity depends on size of your group)

2. Purchase Bread or Baked Crackers
Unleavened bread is the best expression of the bread element. Unleavened bread simply is bread baked without a rising agent (most large grocery stores stock unleavened bread), but you can select any bread or cracker of your choice. Really, whatever you’ve got is good…so, grab it and let’s remember together.

3. Be Ready at Home with Your Elements
One of our pastors or elders will direct you through receiving communion. All you need to do is follow along online with us during the live feed of the worship series.

4. Share With Us
After receiving communion online, please fill out a connection card and email amen@mylighthousecommunity.com letting us know how many in your group participated in communion. We would also love it if you would snap a quick photo and include it in your email.
